ADHD coaching is not covered by Medicare in Australia. You cannot claim a rebate through Medicare, GP Mental Health Care Plans, or the Better Access Initiative, which only cover registered psychologists and certain allied health professionals. Private health insurance generally does not cover ADHD coaching either.
Some people with self-managed NDIS plans may be able to use funding for ADHD coaching, depending on their individual plan. It’s important to check with your Plan Manager or NDIS coordinator.
For most, ADHD coaching is a private expense, so budgeting for ongoing support is essential.
